Our Story

We began in 2013 with a simple idea: to create a place in Aberdeen where great food and genuine community could come together. When we took over a small café called Foodstory, we had the vision and strong sense of purpose, but not much money, so we turned to the people. Through a crowdfunding campaign, the local community alongside family and friends helped us bring the next chapter of Foodstory to life.

From the beginning, this was always about more than just serving food an coffee. We wanted to build a welcoming space where anyone could come in, eat well, feel comfortable, and be part of something, whether through good conversation, music, art, or simply a sense of belonging. Much of the café was built by hand, with donated furniture and salvaged materials, giving Foodstory the character and warmth that still define it today.
